Who here is loving Boruto?

Tbh I actually like these characters more than og Naruto, they seem more mature and complex. Currently no bad guy is as interesting as Orochimaru but I feel like Ikemoto has been bringing the edge back where murder and attempted suicide are referenced, and overall the scenarios seem to have realistic consiquences no sugar coating or censorship of darker themes.

While Naruto is great Boruto tbh seems like a more complicated and relatable character to me right now and I can already seen the story taking a darker turn.

I like the slice of life nature and the characters. Wish it focused more on other characters but Boruto and his crew were always more maturely written than the Part 1 Genin, it's to be expected.

The opening theme makes me feel oddly nostalgic? For a new series? It encapsulates the send-off of Naruto by using Kana-Boon again. Feels like it could've been an old-school Naruto OP back in the day.

Well the interesting thing about the latest chapter is that they referenced Hozuki Castle from Blood prison movie. Despite some boring ass setup chapter, atleast the direction the story is heading seem to take a dark turn.

OT: I am on the same boat as you. This is what I have been telling people for a while. Boruto and the groups were seen as more likable than the OG Naruto simply because from the writing perspective they were handled maturely and everyone interact really well. They don't follow this typical shonen troupe where they have to start this over dramatic conflict like this obnoxious Naruto and the entire cast of team 7.

I don't think people would be complaining as much if naruto never existed, so there wouldn't be a comparison, but personally it's not bad... nothing greats happened yet, but nothing too cringe worthy has happened yet either( in the anime at least)

I really enjoy Boruto as a character, he's what Naruto would've been like if he had parents and no tailed beast inside him.

Love is a strong word. It's been just alright up until now.

I'm really interested in Sarada, Mitsuki and Shinki as characters. They are, by far, the most interesting ones.

Other than that, Shikadai and ChoCho look promising. I'll always appreciate when they get development.

It's a good thing that the new gen are seemingly having their own complex characters. I just hope that the old gen we love don't get the OOC treatment just to force the new gen's behaviour. Let's hit that equilibrium.
