thought that was just aizen trying to comprehend why he couldn't feel ichigo's reiatsu? and the truth was just that ichigo was just too strong for aizen to feel his reiatsu.

No, Aizen thought Ichigo gave up all his Reiatsu because he could not feel it anymore.

To put it simply, Aizen could not sense Ichigo's reiatsu and mistook it for him ''giving it up'', while Ichigo actually had much greater reiatsu to the point Aizen could not sense it.

it depends if you mean reiatsu controll and the amount they can bring out i say aizen
but ichigo`s reiatsu store > aizens forget it it`s >>>> aizens even after his transcendent aizen coudnt match ichigo when he controlled\converted his reiatsu

I think ichigo is like naruto, he has huge chakra but isn't really good at controlling it (atleast in the beginning of shipudden)
and then there is sasuke is good at controlling chakra.

Aizen said that battles of shinigamis are battles of reiatsu, since Aizen is much much more powerful than Ichigo, I would go with him.

If you mean Dangai Ichigo in that arc, then Ichigo. As people already said, Aizen could not feel Ichigo's reiatsu because it was so high, even when in his butterfly form.
