Oops I voted Luffy because I thought the thread was about physical pain

Naruto endured more than Luffy, Naruto didn't have any friend and nobody acknowledged him. Luffy had Sabo, Ace and the mountain bandits. Luffy didn't care about his own sufferings, while Naruto realized that everybody hated him.

The hatred Naruto received made him an impaired person, like Luffy who was stupid to begin with. If Luffy was raised in the same condition as Naruto, he would be a bloodthirsty pirate (Luffy is violent by nature unlike pacifist Naruto)

Well, physical pain is still pain. Luffy had to endure a lot more than depression. While depression is heavy, abusive and neglectful authority figures, having no money, third-world living, having to hunt for you own food and having to fight giant wild animals before you're even ten, well, which one would you rather?

Luffy never met his parents which is technically equivalent to Naruto not seeing his parents either.

The only difference is that Luffy never been ostracized by other people, which is what Nardo had to go through for like 10-12 years

Enies Lobby Luffy lost his brother which was more heart whelming and sad than Naruto losing Jiraiya. Naruto only started to show concern for Jiraiya after his death where as Luffy loved Ace even before he died, hence why he went to Enies Lobby to rescue him.

I think you should use Archipelago arc Luffy instead.

Luffy went to Impel Down and Marineford for Ace xD
Enies Lobby was when he went to get Robin. I've confused them before too

Luffy doesn't hate the wildlife experience from what we see because as an adult he enjoys killing wild animals or have eccentric adventures for fun. Luffy's grandpa send him to jungle so that Luffy becomes strong and become good marine. Naruto was neglected and abandoned, and Naruto realized this without knowing the cause.

If Luffy went through Naruto's lifestyle, he would be a maniac terrorist. Luffy is a really aggressive and vindictive person by nature unlike Naruto

BTW, Luffy knew Shanks and co. and enjoyed their company at some point, Naruto had nobody. Really absurd how nobody noticed and cared for Naruto throughout his life

And? Enjoying the lifestyle suddenly makes it easy? It's still an extremely difficult lifestyle, Luffy just didn't let it get to him. I understand Naruto's situation, but his had less things to deal with than Luffy's.

Just swap Naruto and Luffy and see the end result. Luffy had to fight with himself to survive, Naruto had to fight the whole society. Naruto's retarded behaviour and logic was developed over time by the intense desire to gain attention and recognition from the people. Luffy was an idiot from the beginning, he's still the same as he was 12 years ago.

I can go hunting in the wilderness, but that doesn't mean it is an easy task.

Luffy still had to fend off for himself. Luffy is always in constant danger.

So what? Switching them doesn't matter, it's not about who endured their circumstances better, it's about how much they endured. When they became idiots doesn't matter. And Luffy was just fighting himself? Luffy had to survive in the jungle, not woods, the jungle, and fight gigantic wild beasts. He wasn't provided for other than a basic house that was practically a hut and some water. Food, more shelter, clothes, money, he had to get all that shit for himself and survive in the intense wild from since he was a kid. Luffy was like SEVEN fighting the kind of tigers Naruto was still scared off in the Forest of Death at 13.

What you consider dangerous is thrilling and fun for Luffy. If Luffy realized the danger of wilderness I would've spoken for Luffy instead. I thought Luffy had eaten the gomu gomu fruit before entering the wildlife? That makes him a lot less vulnerable to physical damage. Luffy is monster with the will of D, his willpower is exceptional. Naruto had to build everything of his life through struggle and sorrow. Luffy grew up in adventure

With friends like Ace and Sabo backing you up, fighting a tiger is a lot easier. Especially when you have devil fruit power for shield and tool

Yeah, because an 8 year old and two ten year olds vs a giant tiger is a complet cake-walk for the kids...

Even before he had Sabo and Ace to team up with him, which didn't decrease the danger of being a little kid fighting a giant tiger by that much, he still had to face things like that.

Seriously, stop trying to make being a kid less than ten years old living with abusive and neglectful criminals in a jungle where you had to kill and catch everything you ate yourself seem less tough than it really is.

Luffy didn't have fun until he meet Sabo and even before he met Shanks Garp had him train in the jungle in the mountains and threw him into a abyss. And you mentioned Luffy was a monster with the Will of the D that's just His own will power what about Kurama
