We have no idea of the uchiha situation, fugaku could've been the deciding factor in what spurred most of the uprising. If shisui changed his mind who knows how many uchiha could've been spared. It was a poor choice and danzo did nothing to help the situation, in fact he wanted to personally gain from it.

Actually, we do. It's human nature. Fugaku stirred up hatred and anger, he can't simply stop emotions like that through talk. Also the reason why Hiruzen would have failed at negotiateing. Too many chances that Danzo was wise not to take.
And he dud gain from the Massacre. Was he not supposed to...? Who cares if he took the Sharingan, he's a NINJA. Everything is fair game. And besides, he stopped the destruction of Konoha and stopped a world war through his actions.

The things we have seen from him are literally all bad. Kbauto's flashbacks, shisui, the massacure, his forceful attempt at a takeover of the kage summit.

His morality is also terrible, he has shown no remorse for the lives he's taken for the "sake" of the village. He also could've handled all of his "evil" decisions in a more appealing manner, but didnt.

Pfft, "morality". There is no morality in a Shinobi, or at least, in a real Shinobi. Real Shinobi do absolutely anything it takes to protect the village and the future of the village. If that means killing women and children, as long as it protects the majority, the village, the people, so be it.

I love Danzo. 3rd favorite character. An unsung hero of Konoha. Almost everything he did was for Konoha and the future. Plus, his wind Jutsu is badass.

then thankfully what makes a "real" shinobi depends on that shinobi's POV, not on only you. real shinobi by your own definition arent danzo who chose cruel means of taking care of "threats" and killed spies because they got too good at their job, not to mention extorting an orphanage and abandoning thousands of helpless civilians to death and destruction. he let the majority die so he could rule the ashes

fugaku was a freedom fighter organising revolution against people like danzo. danzo couldnt handle threats to his hold on power and killed them

and besides he let knoha be destroyed by pain after trying to overthrow it twice and kill hiruzen, and by his own inaction in dealing with akatsukis threat with his oh so powerful koto eye, he caused the next world war. oh and if danzo took control over the alliance he would have waged his own world war to make konoha the ruling power

the massacre stopped nothing. it caused the shinobi world war because uchihas werent there to head off orochimarus war/invasion, and also the loss of their greatest clan overnight would have inspired any kages looking for a chance at destroying konoha jsut as much as other civil strife might. so he stopped nothing.

Fugaku starts a rebellion, many Uchiha are totally for it.... then suddenly he says "Wait, nevermind. Konoha is good." and you expect the rebellion to just... go away? That's not how people work my friend. Just because Fugaku calls it off does not mean that it's over

it would lose much of its manpower if they really are loyal to their leader. he was the one planning it and organising it. they can divide and conquer after that with itachis help. any more dissenters can be thrown in jail
