Dorohedoro's first three pages give a wth feeling XD :

And from there, the oddness will just increase. XD It has the more twisted way to put magic in a verse, man! Those characters are pretty ruthless yet surprisingly likeable and relatable. Dorohedoro is even funny at times...which is weird given the amount of brutal scenes and gore it has o_O It's a great story. Here's a if you want to check it.
And never mind, I was confused xd It's not the same author, but Feng Shen Ji sounds like my cup of tea.
Oh now that looks promising, I'm gonna give it a look now. The art style kinda reminds me of Abara.

You should definitely check it out. There's been 74 chapters released to date, and I've yet to be disappointed by one.

You're right! Now I might add Abara to my reading list along Feng Shen Ji and Blame! (not mentioned in this thread, but it's another seinen that looks interesting).
About Dorohedoro: it has got 121 chapters released (the scans are up to date with Japan) and the last volume is being published, so it's a great option. The first volumes might look like senseless things going on one after another, but they do make sense and are (kind) of explained later on.
Didn't explicitly say it but you should get it. Anyway have fun chatting with my mans Pappy
XD lol I'm pretty bad at getting that kind of hints. At any rate, I'm feeling that till he reads Dorohedoro or I start with Feng Shen Ji (which won't be until later in the day...pass midnight here), the conversation is pretty much dead.

Lol Joking. I don't read neither of those, but Trigun looks quite cool. Do you recommend the anime?

Not gonna lie Abara is a bit of a mind f*ck, but if you think you're up for it there's only 13 chapters. It covers several post apocalyptic themes along with transhumanism, and a bunch of other crazy shit. Think Matrix, but if it was directed by Quentin Tarantino, and George Lucas.

I'm all for some senselessness early on, keeps me on mah toes.

Pfft, of course I have. Miria >>> Clare

Now I'll def add Abara. I specially like post apocalyptic themes (huh!), and is better if they don't let me sleep Xd
Hey! I just noticed something: Abara was made by the same mangaka that made Blame! (Nihei Tsutomu). Coincidentally the author of Dorohedoro (Q Hayashida) was an apprentice of Tsutomu when he was working on Blame! No wonder why the styles looked alike. Hayashida learnt from the author of Abara, after all lol

The level of coincidence has just soared over 9000. lol Dammit now I gotta add Blame to the list. I haven't even caught up with Terra ForMars and Battle Angel Angelita yet. Sunday is gonna be a long day.

LOL the discussion got me in, Yeah it's awesome, I would recommend the anime, but the problem is trigun anime is a mix of both the original trigun and trigun maximum so it might interfere and spoil parts if ur gonna follow the manga, I do recommend reading the manga, the part one of trigun (20 chapters) and it's sequal which Is over 100 chapters and is damn awesome, then watch the anime Lel.

Nice. I'm gonna read 8-10 chapters of Dorohedoro and Blame tonight to get a feel for them.

I read somehwere that norihiro said the reason he didnt revive Teresa (when the three no.1 were resurrected) cause it would've thrown of the plot, I'm also kinda lookin forward of a decent information on what happens on the mainland. And a brief explanation on the dragons

Among the ones on your list I read Noblesse. Otherwise, I have a habit of picking up random small mangas etc specially if the series is complete.

Yeeeah, I don't think I would have wanted to see Teresa come back again anyway. Although her death was most definitely a victim of plot. Think about how much could have been avoided had she killed you know who?

Indeed, the sole reason was clare, she became soft hearted, so she didnt kill her. All this could've been avoided if she did behead her at that time, even Irene commented that the previous teresa wouldn't have shown any remorse, but then again if that never happened, there wouldn't be a decent story

IMO

Well, I think I can read 20 chapters to decide if try trigun maximum or not. Sounds like a small amount of chapters compared to what I've marathoned before XD
I read Iris Zero
Awesome! I'm re-reading because chapter 30 just got out this october (it's finally out of the hiatus!), but I can't quite remember all of the details after so long. Anyway, have you read chapter 30? Who's your fav character?

Well...and are you up to date with Noblesse?
Btw, if you give preference to completed series, then I'd recommend to give Hoshi no Samidare a shot. It's both completed and entirely scanned/translated. I give Hoshi no Samidare as a wide recommendation to anyone who enjoys some battling, amazing character development and few tragic twists in the plot. I wrote a review about it, btw...link in my sig xd
only one on your list that i havnt read is doro
For real?! :heh: That's amazing. Let's talk then!
Have you read the latest chapter of Soul Cartel?
Tried Noblesse , couldn't get into it .

I had a hard time getting into Noblesse as well, but once you get by chapter 13 or so it gets more funny and interesting and from there is just a great ride.

XD I don't like its anime, but I do like the manga. What'ya think about its latest chapter?

I just read Abara's first chapter while having my lunch lol
I liked the setting, it was somewhat well established without the need to text and I liked that detail of having a clearly inefficient medical service (even it was just a small detail of the chapter). The battling was awesome and somewhat intense, I liked the guy's transformation:
