Itachi was not alone when he slaughtered them. They were also sleeping, which is another reason that i doubt it would have been pretty hard.

I believe that their are many shinobi that could do it with the correct partner...

it's not really hard if they're sleeping lol, plus it's not as if the uchiha are all that, they're pretty much fodder for the most part. itachi took down three of them with punches.

anyway, i'd guess the best at it would be a. zabuza with mist and silent killing b. muu with invisibility and kunai c. minato by rigging the place with markings, he'd be done in a minute.

if you don't pick an uchiha for the massacre it will become harder. A solo without an uchiha isn't possible.
As long as itachi(13) and young shishui is alive in that village not any ******* would dare to attack.
