PS is more for characters who are so boring that they need immense power in order to get the fandom interested in them.

Jokes aside, he doesn't need it. PS denotes that one had to take their sibling's eyes and gain EMS as well (outside of the Kakashi retcon via dead Obito). It doesn't align with his character personality, nor his fighting style. Also, as you pointed out OP, with the # of characters using the technique, it's gotten redundant and unoriginal. Itachi gets brownie points for not having it.

Yata isn't a Borg drone. We have know time table for Yata's ability to adapt, and since we've only seen Yata block snake heads and an exploding kunai; there is no evidence to presume a space time jutsu won't suck Itachi's susanno (yata and all) in to it.

Like Kakashi would fall for a crow clone. Remember Kakashi has a sharingan too. He can tell what is a water, shadow or crow clone is from an original.
