Chapter 699 says all I need to know about their friendship at best. It is clear as day. Sasuke not showing up for his wedding does not really bother me when Naruto himself did not care.

If we try to apply that Sasuke to now, he does not care about his family at all, because he is never home all the time. See the irony?
