I say both, but from that last chapter it got me thinking that maybe jiraiya might make a comeback. I know his chance of being alive is 0.000000000000000001%, but everything i have read, watched, and played if someone is mentioned to a close person, and they were supposedly dead thay came back in some form or anoher.
