Shino would typically be the perfect fit, but I feel like his abilities are too descriptive of who he could be. They value protection of identity and go to great lengths to keep it secret and and I haven't seen one anbu use techniques that might be clan specific and so on. The only real thing I can think of is Yamato's wood release but then again hardly anyone should know he had that before the war so even if they were to see the wood release they wouldn't have a clue who it could be.

Shino is capable enough to be an anbu, most of them unfortunately tend to be fodder in extreme situations and shino has a tendency to survive. Also anbu don't necessarily have to be the best of the best, they just have to have abilities the Hokage might find useful

I think team 8 would be good since their more of a tracking and recon team. Shino and Hinata fit the role and maybe if Kiba learns to STFU he'll make it.

Lee won't be able to use Ninjutsu just because Guy used it. Guy has used many Ninjutsu because he can. He just chooses to specialize in Taijutsu because he wants to. Lee decided to follow Guy.

Personally i believe Shino: he has proven himself to be extremely capable as a ninja and fits the type of personality that could become an Anbu level ninja...
We all know he isnt gonna leave the village or become hokage - although he might die in the war - but still Anbu doesnt seem to far off his capabilities!

I dont think RockLee could ever be Anbu - hes too boiystrous etc...

Who else do you think stands a chance - and do you think im right about Shino?

Guys: Sasuke (if he comes back), Sai, Shino, Shikamaru, Neji

Girls: Hinata and Temari....

Jonin (but definately on par with the others):

ur pretty dumb...the 7th gate - and ability from it 'morning tiger' ISNT A NINJUTSU - its an extreme amount of Taijutsu from the 7th gate - a taijutsu ability...So lee CAN USE IT...Lee cant use Ninjutsu - and to my knowledge Gai hasnt shown us a lot of it either...so stupiddd

u boost up shino and say he could be anbu except that his ability is too well known...?

ive got news for you buddy...nobody even knew about the clan in part 1 - thats how 'well known' the clan is...to be honest - you only say that because we as the viewers know about his ability to well now - the clan is insanely secretive - mainly because the people of it tend to be so quite and collected...im pretty sure not everyone knows about the clans abilities to the fullest extent
