No idea, judging by his space time capabilities he could be related to obito in some way, maybe his father, and by his grudge against the uchiha possibly setsuna, who was disgraced by the abandonment of his planned coup deta of konoha's powers that be.

Setsuna could be obito's father also I guess.

many people on forum debate over & over this issue, but no one really can support with great evidence who it is.
Personally though I think it is definitely definitely definitely definitely not obito .
that's my take though, I'm really do not believe it, it's like my gut-feeling so don't flame :x
I've read lots of thread and obito theory just don't ring any bell in my mind, it just could not be.
with that said, I going to take a wild guess... hmm I think it might be someone really legendary & old from other village ( konoha excluded ) and have some relation to hashi & madara

The person with abilities most similar to kakashi's kamui is tobi, tobi is a real uchiha, or so he says, which would explain why he has more control of kamui than kakashi.

How would he have the eyes to do this? If he is obito's father.

Setsuna tried to rise against the second hoping to overthrow him and the senju, he failed due to lack of support, which probably disgraced him and sent him down the same path as madara, he is also one of the only candidates that match timeline and hair of tobi.

If this is used in conjunction with setsuna could also be obito's father it is stronger still.

You are right, but I think Tobi is Zetsu body and Obito's mind (don't know how to explain it:shrug

Half of obito is crushed. And the other part of the body cannot respond properly if the the other half is gone. Obito wasn't immortal like Hidan. xd Actually come to think of it, even Hidan was crushed by huge rocks and boulders. So there you have it, even the immortal has an end to his life. Doesn't exactly make him immortal I guess :shrug:
