he took the gudoudamas to his back during the gai madara fight and teleported away i guess that marking on his head was the one he teleported to to get the gudous away from the SA just lucky they didnt blow up if they did it would have taken out the village maybe he knew they wouldnt blow up at a certain distance from madara

The only marked FTG seal thats far away and hes most recently used was on top of his rock head.
Since that was the last day he was alive, thats where he stood and diverted the 9tails bijuudama away from konoha.

actually he didnt divert them look on his cape in that same chapter they just didnt blow up for some reason
