None of that shit affects the fact that Kanye has made himself into one of the most awarded and acclaimed artists not only in his genre, but in others. Same goes for the respect he garners from fellow artists, both in and out of his genre. You can say whatever you want about Kanye and his family and who is a person and the stuff he says and his clothing line. There's a lot to say about it. But one thing you can never say is that when he says he's the best artist of all time, he doesn't have the material and credentials to offer as evidence. I'm not saying he is, but he can back up what he says about his music.
Also, Kanye explained the whole Yeezus and "I'm a God" thing. When people do great things, they deserve to be able to acknowledge they did. Black males walk around with last names that were given to their ancestors by slave masters, and they have no problem calling each other by those titles, but people flip their shit when Kanye builds himself up and calls himself Yeezus and says he's a god? As though he's the first person to ever do it? It's a form of recognizing his worth as a musician.
