I've always been partial to the Beatles but i prefer Chicago or the Doobie Brothers anyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
Who do you think is better, Elvis Presley or The Beatles?

It's true that Elvis was much more of a pioneer, but i like Beatles more regarding to music.
Similar to DragonBall and Naruto, DragonBall was the pioneer, wo it Naruto or many shounens would not exist but Naruto is superior as fictional material. Atleast for me.

Elvis didn't write his own songs and took away every ounce of afro-americanism from rock n roll. Thus turning rock into safe, easy listening for the average white conservative. Sure, The Beatles did the same but were far more influential to music.
I respect both, but no blues/jazz and there's no rock.

Outstanding singing
Outstanding, very creative song writing

Outstanding singing (I would have to say his singing is slightly above The Beatles because his singing is more iconic and is more imitated today. He also sang sexually which made huge controversy. Elvis also sang more genres: Blues, Rockabilly, Rock n Roll, Country, and Gospel. He has the edge in singing.)
Outstanding dancing. His dancing is IMO more significant than The Beatles's songwriting because The Beatles weren't the first artists to write their own songs. Singers like Carl Perkins did that too. However, Elvis was the first one to break out all that dancing and expressed himself greatly. It was because of him that teenagers got rebellious and started expressing themselves and why artists today do all of that vulgar dancing. He wasn't called Elvis the Pelvis for nothing.
Outstanding looks. He was called the *** symbol of the 50s. Many celebrities noted how good looking the man was and the way Elvis showed himself was labeled as bisexual because he would draw in girls and guys couldn't help but look at him. He would draw in a huge audience and have them go nuts with just his looks alone.
Great with instruments. Elvis was capable of playing guitar and he taught himself how to play piano as a kid. He had two instruments going for him.
As you can see, Elvis slightly has the edge over The Beatles. John Lennon didn't state, "Before Elvis, there was nothing" and "If there wasn't an Elvis, there wouldn't be the Beatles."
The King was the better artist.
