OT: I would have battle wolf at the #1 spot personally seeing how his capture level surpasses the monkey king, Bambina. Seeing how Toriko is the main protagonist and his animal partner is a clone of the battle wolf, it would be fitting for the battle wolf to be the strongest.

Yes, Toriko is amazing and I do hope Toei does get a late time slot & reanimate the cooking festival arc when they animate Toriko again. I'm hoping they drop the series for good though but it's unlikely. I don't think Toriko is better than OP though or even equal to OP. OP is the best shonen series I've read.

Toriko is a great series. It has awesome characters, interesting concept, and excellent world building. The Gourmet world has far exceeded my expectations! It has proved to be a challenge. The adventure feel to it reminds me of One Piece and the crew experiencing dangerous environments along the way! Toriko should be animated by Madhouse from the beginning without filler! That would be a dream come true! As for best shounen series. Let me introduce you to Hunter x Hunter!

They animated the OVA? The animation and the atmosphere was really better in that OVA then the actual anime! I would be okay with the OVA animators to do a reboot or continuation.

every time i see someone saying things like "i have caught up to toriko" always saying that the series ir amazing or stuff like that but when you hear people saying this series is shit or its boring you can already see that they havent read the manga

and yeah i really really really wish hope madhouse or ufotable would pick toriko
i cant believe all the anime get good ass adaption but toriko had to get toei(the shittiest studio ever)

I just love how well this manga displays the gap of strength between creatures and men. But what I like the most is the tension that the mangaka successfully brings across. Like that moment where they first meet the monkey king Bambina.
