Naruto and Gaara, they both had it pretty rough. Living a life where everyone hates you can't be easy.

alright now obito because not only did he lose his crush but he had to learn the hard way how cruel this world is. because of everything that has happened to him his entire goals change because of his realization about the entire world.

Itachi went through hell for Konoha! One of the best characters ever!

He knew about "The Masked Man" attacking Konoha and framing the Uchiha. He could had told, cleared the Uchihas' name and united the village against Akatsuki long before this war ever happened... did he? No, he didn't tell a soul, and he chose to get "The Masked Man" to help him murder his family and his lover.

Of all the children in the Uchiha, he spared only his brother... but in doing so, mercilessly tortured him physically and mentally to force the Uchiha's curse of hatred onto him so he'd get stronger, making him sever his bonds and any semblance of a happy life, try to kill his friends, and become an enemy of Konoha all out of Itachi's selfishness... then was going to brainwash him into a good guy so he'd return to Konoha as if nothing happened and probably get killed by Akatsuki.

So no, I'm sorry, but Itachi was in a hell of his own creation and is one of the worst characters ever.
