He was awesome when he was not revived in my opinion. When he came back it kinda ruined his character.



Aizen got a nice build up and a finish. Madara got a nice build up and a ugly finish. That is the difference. On top of that Madara never really stood out to me as a character. He seemed like your typicial badass shonen villians. Where as Aizen pissed you off with the mere sight of him.
