Naruto. I like his can do attitude and I admire the fact that, where he could have easily grown up to be a cold and heartless person due to who and what he is, he strove to be acknowledge by his village. He can be a bit preachy at times but i guess that goes with the Saviour Architype.

Plus I just don't care for the uchiha....any of them.

Naruto. He had a bad life and didnt feel the need to alienate everyone around him in a hateful quest like obito and sasuke. Also hes not gloomy and saying "..." Every other page.

Sasuke because he's cool,smart,badass,deos things on his own,has cool powers,intense goals,and is interesting.I like that he can fight on his own aswell as in a team.I value individuality and Teamwork.When you can do both,that's amazing.He's a Leader,deos things on his own,can lead a team,work with others,and work alone.I like his intelligence.

He's able to develop,learn how to use and master his powers quickly.Be it mastering Fire Style Jutsu in a few days on his own.Learning how to use Ninja tools,increasing his speed,Taijutsu performance and strategy enough to hold his own against elite Jounin Kakashi by 12 was fantastic,another good example would be achieving Lee's High Speed Taijutsu + develop his 2nd nature element enough to Master the Chidori in a month - Intellgence,Genuis + hard work.

i like that he's able to come up with strategies in battle while he's fighting,he's able to figure out his opponents powers and counter it successfully.Against Deidara,Danzo,And Madara - they all used a power that Sasuke had never seen before yet he was able to figure them out and successfully counter them - C2 Clay bombs,Izanagi,and Limbo.

i like that he can learn quickly even in battle - learn how to use his powers - MS Amaterasu in the KB fight,Susano'o in the Kage Summit arc,especially ty the Danzo Battle,RinneSharingan - Teleportation in the Madara and Kaguya fight and he clearly got a good understanding of CT from sealing Kaguya hence Solo Clap Neg Diff 9 Full Transformed Bijuu.

i like that he Solo's - fights on his own - against Kakashi,Haku while Naruto was unconscoius,Lee,Orochimaru,that guy in the Chunin Prelims,Gaara,Naruto,Orochimaru,Deidara/Tobi,Itachi,Danzo,etc

i like that he's confident,a hardworker,genuis,leader,etc

Naruto is my 2nd fav character - i like that he's smart,outgoing,courageous,caring,values his comrades,values teamwork,comes up with good strategies at times,tries to reason with his opponents,stands up too everyone - like at the begining of the Chunin Exams when they got to the classroom where they took the first test,against Orochimaru in the Forest Of Death,etc.I like that he geos all out for is friends - For Sasuke against Haku,Sakura against Gaara,etc.Has cool powers,good personailty,and ofcourse - never gives up.

I used to like Sasuke better in the early days of the manga. Once Kishimoto turned him into a whiny EMO that has no respect for his sensei and no loyalty to his friends, that is when he became "suckske" to me. So at present, I like Naruto's development better - loyal, honest, caring, respectful, and a little less of a screwy goofball. Naruto is not my favorite character (maybe top 5 or top 10), but given a choice of the two current characters, I have to say I prefer current Naruto.

Whiny is the wrong word and so is Emo.Being mad about your families massacre and the messed up Shinobi World/System isn'y whiny or Emo.Sounds like you're forcing characteristics on him.His character wasn't tortured at all - it's great and realistically noone would be happy with their families massacre and would want revenge aswell
