Now I know they are one within the same body but I consider them different because of personalities. I personally prefer Tobi's jokes and his drama is pretty good.

But if he listened to Naruto's/ Hashirama's TNJ, it would have saved him from an embarrassing death. Kaguya's plans would also be foiled in a way. How is the change useful if a guy is on the verge of death's door.
