I would have to say my father. I can talk with him about anything. He respects to me and speaks with me on the level that he does other adults. He's able to listen to my opinion, without interrupting or disregarding it and he's very patient.
My mother on the other hand is very loud, rude, and annoying. She hates speaking with me and is not able to hold a rational conversation. She constantly belittles me saying I have no opinion or free will and takes every chance she can get to make me feel like crap. She's constantly angry and moody, which can be expected of raising one child on her own and only having about 3 or so friends because she claims she's "mentally unstable". She's wanted to kick me out of the house since I was 13, for speaking my mind and has told me on a regular basis that I am meant to be "seen and not heard". In addition I've been called "useless" and "dunce", but I never really let her name calling bother me and I don't shout back at her when she goes on her excessive rants (which last about an hour) which is sad because I act like more of the adult in those situations than she does. However, she does put a roof over my head and feeds me (though she mentions this every second and insults my father while doing it and even insults me everytime I mention something nice about him.) so I'm grateful for that.
So to conclude my rant, I have a better relationship with my parental unit
