Who Do You Favour More: Gai or Lee?

Rock lee has always been one of my favorites.. i like gai but i prefer lee

Rock lee's fights were imo the best fights ive seen in the entire manga they still made the biggest impression on me

The only thing Gai inherited was the Gates.

Dai died when Gai was young and so Gai developed his own taijutsu for the most part but all Lee has done is copy the same taijutsu style, the gates and even the image; right down to the haircut.

Martial arts all start with imitation.. you have to learn from somewhere and get ideas from somewhere, we learn martial arts by copying another and then you build upon that eventually developing it to your own style..

And Gai was the one who most likely gave green suit to Lee. Lee looks up to him as a master so he takes his word.

The very first forms of martial arts had only the imagination and physiological knowledge to go by. Lee hasn't and never will develop his own style; he's come this far by copying his master's every move and with a lot of blood and sweat.

actually i apparently do.. the first forms of martial arts include shaolin kung fu which the techniques were learnt by closely studying the animals and mimicking them and eventually building a fighting system on that

other martial arts are derived from other martial arts also become there own style by slightly adjusted certain aspect of the art and thus making there own style

Also rock lee indeed he might be talentless however he has always overcome that by pure effort and hard work thats his character
