Who Do You Favour More: Gai or Lee?

Does anyone else like Might Gai and not really like Rock Lee? I mean, Lee was cool in part 1 with his fight with Gaara and I loved his fighting style but I could never get into his character as I did with Gai.

Usually people say that Lee and Gai are the same character but this is not true; Gai is way more comedic and his character is so much more lovable as he represents a child-like innocence in this manga. Like how he kept forgetting Kisame's name.

His rivalry with Kakashi is the best in the series as it shows true friends that are pretty even in terms of strength and they hold no disregard for one another.

Gai is one of the most kind and inspirational characters in Naruto, so much so that another character in the same series wants to be just like him. I mean, he even inspired Lee so much that Lee wants nothing more than to succeed with just taijutsu.

I like Lee more mostly due to all those feels in his fight vs Gaara and in the aftermath.

But i like Lee more.

He is more well written, both are kind btw.
