The difference is that Madara exploded in a pathetically easy solo, while Obito actually helped Kaguya kill him by jumping infront of the way, and still prooving that he could have blocked it.

Madara 'died' by being betrayed by what he thought was his most loyal creation. And as for him screaming, he was being forced to become a woman. Do you know how painful and time extensive a *** change operation is? Imagine that all at once. No freakin wonder he was screaming. Itachi and Prime Hiruzen would scream at that happening too.

As for Obito, he did jump in the way to be a shield, yes, but it was to protect the next generation. It was his way of redemption. And people keep saying he could've blocked it, he barely had enough time to stop the one heading towards Kakashi.
