who created zetsu? the real question

I dont think he created Zetsu, i think Madara did. If he was created the same way Yamato was then he would be human. Seems more to me like hes made of Hashirama and Madara DNA.

Seriously though, I've been looking forward to knowing his origins ever since we were first introduced to him. I'll accept anything as long as we get some kind of backstory.

In all seriousness gedo seems to be the key to a lot of the mysteries in Naruto. Its true purpose has yet to be revealed. I always thought it might be some advanced device for Izinagi since it seems to be connected to so6p, dna, replicating, and sealing biju.

The Gedo Mazo just contains the Biju's chakra and thats the chakra being used to clone Zetsu.

Black zetsu is the original and its unknown where he comes from atm. White zetsu however was created from hashiramas dna by tobi.

He couldn't be made like Yamato. Yamato was always human just infused with Hashi cells like Danzo and Madara. The zetsu clones are beings that were created, not born with parents. White and Black Zetsu are the most alien things around.
