Who could succeed in Jiraya's mission against Pain??

A random ninja is in Jiraya's case. A ninja who wants to deal with the Akatsuki's leader without even knowing who his opponent is. So firstly he must try to enter the village just like Jiraya, have some informations about Pain just like Jiraya did, before confronting himself to Konan, then Animal Path who comes directly after that, then Human and Preta Path, and finally Pain complete and together.

What do you think about it? Who could succeed?

No one could have at that time, think about it Kisame and Itachi knew that together and even with more akatsuki members Jiraiya could have taken them head on or completely out (exception of Pain Of course)

Orochimaru imo, his very good at infiltration, just due to his snake techs.

And he would put up a good fight against Pain too, his jutsu sort of matches up with Pain.
It gives him abit of a chance to figure out Pain's secret and eventually beat him.

I know it seems very stupid to assume this, but i just feel Orochimaru is a good matchup for him. ​

Orochimaru would've met the same fate as Jiraiya. Also the fact that Orochimaru was in Akatsuki for a while would just give more advantage to Pain more than it would for Orochimaru.

the only people who I think would have a chance just because of their intelligence and how strong they are would be Minato, Oro, 2nd Mizukage(because Pain also wouldnt be able to figure out his genjutsu)...mass genjutsu might be pains weakness, BM Naruto, Tobi(with no info he still dodges all attacks), 3rd Raikage, 4th Raikage(both of them because v2 A would probably be too fast for 6paths shared vision to keep up with)

First of all might i add this is a really good idea of a thread + reps for that

well, i believe people will troll this thread and say So6p , Madara, Itachi or Sasuke

but im gonna say Orochimaru at the time could becasue naruto was not trained in SM so he wouldnt be able to take pain down, only SM ninja could take pain down relatively easily
i say orochimaru becasue his practically immortal bro n his got awesome techniques that could squash pain ( nagato)

and also minato as his super fast and possesses the rasengan!!
