Sorry, but that was a dumb answer. You obviously got something wrong. He fell on his hand because he was exhausted and couldn't stand on his feet any longer - that wound hadn't even the slightest impact on the outgoing of the fight. So, since Kyuubi has more Chakra and stamina than Hachibi, Sandaime Raikage won't endure long enough to kill him. Hachibi himself was highly impressed by Kyuubi's strength. On top of that Kyuubi's body totally differs from Hachibi's. While the latter could be hurt by Yondaime Raikage's hand or Sasuke's Chidori Eiso, Kurama even survived two Rasen Shuriken. The great Kusanagi no Tsurugi, that caused horrible pain on Enma's transformed version (which was harder than diamond) couldn't even pierce his chakra.
