Dude was teased his whole youth about never being a ninja.
despite having no skill in Ninjutsu or genjutsu, and has no Kekki Genkai.
He managed to be one of the best of his class, being the 1st person who has EVER managed to land a hit on Gaara, not even the assassins his father hired could touch him.
Learned two forbidden techniques ( Lotus and the inner gates) as a genin.
Rock Lee has accomplished ALOT with his willpower. Lacking in the basic fundamentals to be a ninja, he started at a HUGE disadvantage and made his way to be able to compete with all the rest with Taijutsu alone.

Also; he stood up after his muscles and bonds torn apart, left arm and leg get crushed; clearly stated by Kakashi that it was impossible him to do so. And he was unconcious; that means his ninja way is implanted on him in a way to build his Will power surpassing a human's limit.
