I thought of that, and I guess it's a good point. Probably paid no mind to his last name or anything. People, I'm sure, just knew him as, "NARUTO!" when he was a kid; you know all people did was scream at him. Stupid villagers.

Yeaaah your probably right , Iruka didnt like naruto at first cos he got the fox inside of him who killed irukas parents

Iruka - NO. He hated Naruto at first. He met him for the first time when he was chosen to be in his class in the ninja academy.
Hiruzen put him into an orphanage until he could fend for himself then he got him an apartment. Hiruzen was a constant figure in Naruto's life. I admire him greatly for being the only real person who took care of Naruto when everyone else could have.

Let me say something about Naruto that many of you have seem to have forgotten. If you remember during Kushina's pregnancy, the third's wife forbid her to mention that she was going to have a baby, much less say she is pregnant. By that deduction NO one in the village knew(probably) that Kushina was going to have a baby or that Naruto was her child.
Everyone else just knew Naruto as Naruto not as the son of the 4th hokage. So Sasuke's mom could not have figured it out that he was that same child.
Only very few knew who Naruto really was. He was known as the Jinchuuriki of the Nine Tails but nothing more than that. Everyone was forbidden to speak about it so no one really knew. They just saw him as a threat or a tool for war.
I hate Konoha for shunning Naruto but at the same time I can't blame them. They were merely acting according to their human instincts.
I have a great respect for Naruto because he has worked really hard to get where he is now. So no matter how OP Sasuke is, it will never mean anything to me because he didn't work as hard as Naruto did. I know he is a very skilled ninja and probably more smart than him but I go back to what Lee said to Sasuke in part one:

"Your Sharingan is obviously a gift. Then why am I able to beat you? A dropout will beat a genius through hard work!"

Not that they'll ever explain it, but I'd bet he was in some sort of Orphanage until he got old enough to enroll in the ninja academy.
I doubt Iruka even knew him when he was that small.
I think the third may have been watching over him like a hawk, coz everyone in the village hated him from birth, even though he was supposed to be considered a hero. I don't think there was anyone else looking after him coz they wouldv'e been pretty close with him, unless maybe Hiruzen assigned Kakashi to watch over him coz he was the Fourths son and Kakashi was the Fourths student

Iruka met Naruto for the first time when he joined the academy and Kakshi met Naruto for the first time when he became assigned to him for Genin training.
So those two don't count at all. They only knew OF Naruto but they hadn't met him face to face at the times I mentioned.
He was part of an orphanage. That we know because Tenten was also part of that orphanage.
