He may be, but do not forget that Itachi planned out that entire fight. Even hitting orochimaru with Totsuka and not Sauske. (orochimaru would have hit yata mirror and bounced off while going for itachi)

Very true, but still I think Sasori is being underestimated. Susano'o will strain Itachi's eyes so he can't have it out for too long, Sasori cannot be Tsukuyomi'd. Sasori just has to nick Itachi with literally any attack and Itachi is dead. If Sasori uses 100 Puppets technique his chances of victory will sky rocket. I'm definitely not saying it will be easy though. If Itachi's Susano'o lasts Itachi can win. Itachi vs Sasori could go either way IMO.

True that sasori's poison is very troublesome, and while i disagree that genjutsu will not work on him, I still don't see sasori getting past susano.
Remember Itachi has Susano/yata mirror.
Also sharingan can predict everything that comes at him so I do not see 100 puppet being a problem.
Sasori is not know for speed, he actually stays pretty stable the entire time. While he does have a 4.5 speed (to itachi's 5) I think that a simple shadow clone distraction while Itachi pierces the heart with totsuka. Granted i think His sharingan alone will help him win this battle w.o too much susano(if at all), that is just a straight-forward win i see for Itachi.
wrong. itachi tried to dodge it. its just that his sickness slows him down.
your susanoo with yata mirror will do nothing against poison mist.

Only puppet who has that was third kazakage, so he would be using that puppet. And why would Itachi stand there? Maybe move out of way lol

I think Sasori is immune to most Genjutsu, including Tsukuyomi. Sasori's only human part is his heart, nothing else. I think Itachi will be forced into Susano'o. Yata Mirror will work from the front, but the puppets can get him from behind. I know that the puppets will not get past Susano'o from the front or from the back, but that's not the point. It would wear Itachi out, being constantly bombarded by puppets from all sides. And eventually Itachi's eyes will give out from so much stress. It's like a fat man being attacked by a swarm of bees. The fat man is stronger but eventually he will get tired, while the bees are still going.
There are 298 puppets in Sasori's possession, it will be very hard to stab Sasori in a swarm of hundreds of very deadly puppets.
But if Itachi makes the most of Susano'o, I see him coming out on top.

You mistook what i said, Itachi won't even need susano. Just plain old sharingan to dodge and kill one puppet at a time.
Also, where are you getting 298 from? He has Hiruko, Third Kazakage, the 100 puppet technique, and his body (if u count that)
itachi is barely moving whilst in susanoo full form with yata mirror. sasori's a long range attacker meaning he can go out of susanoo's range, summon third kazekage and use iron sand.
oh and how the hell will yata mirror protect the wielder against an attack that covers a certain area e.g. jinton attacks. muu can pretty much encase the whole susanoo in his particle style and reduce itachi into nothingness.

I think he would need Susano'o. Remember, if he gets nicked one time, one time, he is dead.
At bold: Sasori stated/mocked to Sakura and Chiyo that he had 298 puppets currently in his possession, and that they would make an even 300.
"At the time of the battle that led to his death, he had 298 puppets in his collection." I couldn't find the link to the manga chapter, but that was from the Naruto Wiki on Sasori.

1. Please re read the fight vs Kabuto and see Itachi move in Susano. and besides that fact, long range or not, he cannot be hit with sharingan predicting the movements.
2. Yata mirror is said to be unbreakable, and it had 0 problem with pure lighting. Jinton is simply blocked by it.

Well due to what we have seen, i am disregarding all puppets we havn't seen. I assume he doesn'tt have room to carry scrolls, or not enough chakara, or something. I believe he would have used them if he could have.
And yes i know if he gets nicked once hes gone, but you can say the same about sakura/chiyo. One hit KO. But chiyo dodge EVERYTHING because she knew how he worked. That's exactly what Sharingan does

How does Itachi see/block a Jinton coming at the back of his head....he cant
and jinton goes right through the back of any susanoo
even if Itachi blocks one Jinton how long can Itachi stay in Susanoo for...????

Naruto (now), Madara, maybe Hashirama (if we go by hype), Minato (he gains knowledge during fights). I think Kakashi has the smallest it chances but very low (both him and Itachi are equally smart in my opinion). And if course Nagato (as much as I hate to say it).
