I obviously admire MLK, Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela for their huge contributions to humanity but I also think some other people throughout history are cool

Joseph Banks - botanist and explorer, really neat guy who expanded common knowledge on botany
DJ Screw - Fantastic dj who helped a lot of struggling underground rappers make it, also a genuinely great personw
Charlemagne - Frankish king who really reshaped Europe and briefly pulled western europe out of the dark ages
Quannah Parker - Comanche chief who sought peace with white settlers
Hayao Miyazaki - not exactly a historical figue but he has made some really fantastic animated movies and I love the ideals he expresses
