Marco literally slashed his neck and lava was oozing out, the attack couldn't bypass his logia body at all.

My goodness my putting WILLPOWER in capitals didn't point it out. None of them couldn't hurt Akainu, meanining no he didn't expand as much energy as you suggest, he couldn't be hurt he could of literally stood there and attack with nothing happening to him. He didn't even want Marco and co either, he wanted Luffy. Akainu COULD LITERALLY DO NOTHING and the pirates wouldn't be bale to put them down.

That wasn't my point, my point was they couldn't hurt him at all. It wasn't much of a fight at all. Yes the WB who had taken attack by the majority of the enemies Top Tiers was killed not because of his injuries making him weaker.....It's because he couldn't stop fodder (Which WB's crew aren't) you have opened my eyes.

I'm not saying that when I was talking about Marco and WB, I was clearly pointing out that MARCO'S HAKI was too weak, not Akainu's. Like seriously you must be read what you want don't you.
Akainu did feel the attack he showed slight signs of irritation, it just wasn't strong enough to do real damage. There would be no reason for him to state they were Haki users otherwise.

And Marco was trying hard to protect Luffy so that is a really lame excuse.

So all in all what I'm getting is Marco's haki was too weak because Akainu was too strong and not weakened enough? Gotcha.

The attack isn't strong enough to bypass his logia body, hence why there was magma.

LMFAO!! So what if he was trying to help Luffy, his will was still crushed by Ace and WB's death.

No Marco was too weak period, stop twsting my words, the denial is unreal I swear.

I actually have a theory on the whole incident of Akainu not being affected by Marco and Vista's Haki: What if Marco and Vista weren't using Haki at that moment? When they slashed at Akainu, Akainu said "Ugh, Haki-users, huh?" This doesn't necessarily mean that they were using Haki at that moment, but that Akainu recognized them as people who are capable of using Haki. Marco is very notable from the crew, as the Gorosei noted him individually from the crew, and Mihawk said only a fool wouldn't know who Vista is. So, it's not farfetched to say that Akainu recognized them as Marco and Vista due to their reputation, and because of how notable the WB pirates are, they'd be recognized as Haki-users from their many battles.

Considering that Haki is the manifestation of the user's willpower and spirit, and Ace had just died, their will may have been wavering, causing their Haki-usage to waver(if they were using Haki, this can explain why it had no effect other than irritating Akainu).

the first part is definitely not worth looking into, not using Haki against a Logia which happens to be an Admiral? Not using Haki in the war of the best?

But the last part makes sense. That was probably the case. Regardless Marco had kicked Kizaru and he had kicked Aokiji before and neither were shown to have taken damage, only Jozu managed to properly damage an Admiral.

So Akainu wasn't weakened enough? Ok then he has great endurance. Agreed.

I basically said their haki was weak at that point, not strong enough to hurt Akainu.

Akainu was not Fresh at all, please stop deluding your self. He looked like he was in an better condition Wb which doesn't matter because WB has much better durability and endurance. WB would of continued the onslaught if he didn't fall down.
Sure WB could've won if he had continued to attack Akainu with consecutive Quake punches like that, but guess what? After Akainu all it took was a few bullets to finally kill him. From that perspective, Akainu only needed one more attack to put an end to Whitebeard for good.

Obviously, Whitebeard's punch but Garp's punch would be more effective to hurt enemies as it's more focused than Whitebeard's GGnM punch.

A few he was literally bombared with bullets while in that state, if WB continued the barrage Akainu would of went down before WB did.

More like he was unable to move after that last attack he gave Teach, that was all he had left it was not gonna put Akainu down.

You could say he was a walking corpse at that point. Even his rage towards Teach only took him as far as 2 mediocre strikes by his standard.

No argument Akainu kills him then and there, heck Akainu probably wouldn't even have to do anything, with enough time WB was dead anyway.

He was moving fine against Akainu and it would of only taken one or two more blows from WB at that point, the fight wasn't lasting much longer. You say Akainu kills him then and there but he was winning.

>WB Lands cheapshot from behind
>Akainu retaliates with blowing half his head off
>WB retaliates by landing a crushing blow to Akainu's ribs
>Akainu falls in the crack but is completely mobile as he avoids the water below

>WB goes on to land 2 blows against Teach, unable to move
>Akainu goes on to take commanders, shichibukai, Marco shows no sign of life threatening injuries.

Not very hard to tell who got saved there.

You are right in a way, and they are right in a way. Issue is Whitebeard wouldn't have been able to "kill" Akainu. However, at the momentum that he already had Akainu down, he would've most likely crippled him, and then other marines would've interfered and killed Whitebeard. Now that had more to do with him already being in a combo, and getting that shot from the behind on Akainu.

But i agree the notion that Whitebeard's life got saved because Akainu fell is simply unrealistic, the man was already dieing. If Akainu had not fallen, it would've been worst for Akainu and not whitebeard. So yea, you are right that Akainu did get saved, BUT not from death, but simply more injuries.

So you're still using him fighting people who can't hit him as a feat? The momentum with the last shot was clear in WB's favor, keep repeating your same washed out arguments tho.

I don't mind this, it was obvious WB had the advantage. If other marines had to step in as back up then it would only help solidify WB's overall superiority.

Lmao other Marines would not need to step in as WB canonically did not have enough in him to put Akainu down for good. He dies, Akainu lives simple.

This fan fic scenario never happened in canon, WB would be able to put down Akainu if he didn't take another hit. Fight contiues Akainu dies, WB probably dies shortly after.

Think about it. If Whitebeard was injured to the point where he could barely move after hitting BB twice, with hits that would never bring down Akainu then he was done for either way. Akainu would've striked one more time and killed him 100% with his next attack.

No he could move fine until he was shot, he was beating down BB until his crew opened fire. He had more than enough strength to land two more blows granted he doesn't take a hit.

No he could barely move after hitting BB with a quake explosion. He was at his limit.
