White privilege is a term for societal privileges that benefit white people beyond what is commonly experienced by non-white people under the same social, political, or economic circumstances. These privileges are unearned and are distributed based on values of the dominant group. Some people argue that in this our modern age that it has been abolished but what do you think? Are whites likely to be given the benefit of the doubt when compared to other races? Have your say here! Are you more likely to succeed or go to college if you are white?

Thanks, but yeah, it exists. On average, if a white man and a black one have the same level of education, and apply for the same job, the white male has a better chance of getting it probably 6/10 times.

Answer: While it's evident that there are still some people with the mindset that white are superior and situations in which we can seesome kind of privilege, things are not as nearly as bad as they were in the last century. The situation changed drastically, this is a fact, and can be easily seen when you compare the current laws with the laws 50 years ago.
In fact, nowadays, such events are considered a crime, as they should, and usually the punishment comes considerably fast.
You can't expect racism to dissapears overnight, in fact, it will never dissapear, become of the human nature(intolerance towards the differences).

However: In many ocassions, specially here, in brazil, a country ruled by idiots, black-rights extremists(you don't have to black to be an extremist defender, by the way. The only person i met in real life like this was white) try to insert these "white privileges" and claim racism in situations that there is no racism whatsover, only so that they can get the media'a attention and use the famous "opression card". Not having all your desires granted doesn't man you're opressed.

Went to rent a tuxedo for my ex's prom in may. Every white person that walked in after me was immediately helped. Didnt mind but that's just an example of white privilege lol
