Which would you rather have ?

Of these two bad terrible choices which would you rather have

A. a lazy dad/mom who gambles drinks and screws around barely paying attention to you while the other parent is doing all the work while struggling with the bills and life

Or
B. a Hard working dad/mom who keeps things in order however due to past experiences or they are just unsympathetic verbally and physically beats you and the other parent everyday

Indeed there are but to answer I would pick A. At least with the first option one of my parents is competent, I couldn't care less about the other one. I would struggle with the other parent and find a way to get rid of the waste of space.
