[Debate] Which world is better?

Infinite Tsukuyomi dream world where there is no freedom but there's happiness through fake images and experiences.

Or

Zombie apocalypse world(like The Walking Dead) where all friends and family slowly dwindle, yet this world has individual freedom and civil rights.

My other thread asked is fake peace better than no peace. Many opted for no peace and yet this example is a perfect counter, showing a case where no peace is far worse than fake peace.

Zombie apocalypse. Only the weak minded would rather settle for a false reality than to have the strength to deal with actuality. I would kill every zombie until i have killed them all or died. But i would try to make this hell better for the next person who has to go through it. so they can do the same and eventually if the effort is noticed and many others who are also tired of the same hell can work together and create a better place.


But some people will settle for false happiness.

What they have gone though should have driven them insane. They would have severe PTSD alone with severe depression.

However, the creator of the show didn't know this basic fact about psychology.

oh, btw, there is no hope in that world no matter how they persevere. That's the whole theme of Walking Dead.

We're comparing a worthless hell to a legitimant means of escape.


It's the same reason why we put down teminally sick animals than to let them end horrically, or that some cancer patients are allowed to suicide without shame.

We won't feel something like it when we were just spoon fed with false happiness.

For the thread's question, personally yeah, I'd prefer the IT world, because I'm powerless. Nevertheless, zombie apocalypse won't happen.

Because NV world is utter shit and Kishi still is trying to say that the real world is better. That world is without hope, much like the Walking Dead world. Not as gory but just as damaging.
