Calling him butthurt because the village exterminated his entire family and made his brother take the blame... like anyone else wouldn't have the same reaction

Well it was Itachi's decision as well no matter how forced it was. He could've sided with the uchihas in the coup but he chose the most logical option no matter how hard it was for him but Sasuke never blamed Itachi for his choice and chose to blame only the village.
But I didn't call him butthurt for hating the village cuz its undrstandable.

1. Obito-as Tobi anyways. His power was still somewhat mysterious and I still thought he had more power up his sleeve.

2. Pain-at that point in time, he was in his own league to us as viewers.

3. Edo Madara-when he first showed up anyways he showed a very powerful side of him. Didn't like him when he started getting slapped around though when he was revived and a Juubi Jin.

4. Kaguya-when she first showed up. Literally, when she first showed up. She's the definition of wasted potential on Kishi's part.

Pain. He seemed to be so much more powerful than anyone else, no one in Konoha could've beaten him in a fair 1on1. Not even Naruto.

After that, when the powerlevels broke through the roof of the franchise, nothing looked threatening again to me. That happens when powerlevels get abused left and right.

I always thought itachi and pain were scary until madara came in to the picture, guy literally beat every OP character in seconds while all infamous villains literally died to fight them.

I felt the exact same way.

Pain gave the biggest vibe of being a powerful threat, Madara was second. I felt nothing like that with Kaguya.

The most important threat is the one you don't feel quite powerful.

Pain was the embodiment of power IMO. He had the rinnegan, took out SM Jiraiya, and busted a whole village. I know that's nothing compared to the current power levels but at that time it was a massive leap that we had never seen before. He also had godly music and his demeanor was terrifying.
