Which ver. is better?

Yesterday I drawn a little Sasuke (pic from page 15 of last chapter), and I did a little experiment with a pigment liner and crayons.
I made two versions, they don't have much differences, but still I want to know which is better:
A) Little Sasuke ver. 1:

Either way, cross hatching is not the best route to go with crayons. Try a ball point pen or an extra fine tip felt marker.

The way you shaded his face, especially in Version one was cross hatching:

Typically, it's not done with crayons or whatever it is you were using.

:sy: I know what cross hatching is...I said I didn't do it with crayons. I used a pigment liner. I used crayons to color the back.
