Ino-Shika-Chou!!! They have the best connection of all the teams, they understand and support each other, just look at their interactions during the war!

Personally? I think two pairs of the Akatsuki.
Firstly, Kisame and Itachi. They had no problems. Got the job done, listened to each other and let's face it, they where awesome.

Secondly, Tobi and Deidara. Tobi followed Deidara everywhere, did what he was told and even help Deidara with his already powerful jutsu. Making their teamwork again very good.

They where both cocky. Hidan thought he was MC hammer and Kakuzu thought he knew it all. Itachi and Kisame are way better. Also, do you mean the Ino-Shika-Cho formation can kill The six paths of Pain and Konan?

Kisame and Itachi. They have multiple elemental Advantages; Kisames Many water styles and large chakra supplies, Itachi- I don't even need to explain. The facts are there Combination Attacks and Moves from both the Video Games (Clash of Ninja revolution series, and Ultimate Ninja)

Itachi and Kisame? Must I remind you the Ino-Shika-Cho formation is made to target one man at a time. Itachi was also captian of Anuba and would most likely have knowledge of the formation and ways to combat and then Kisame is smart, power and strong. And no stupid enough to ignore what Itachi tells him.

Then we have Tobi and Deidara, Most effects are useless on Tobi and Deidara couldn't be caught in Shika's shadow range as he spends alot of time in the air.

Then their is Zetsu, if he don't use mayfly to disappear and Shika traps him. Ino couldn't know what to target as Zetsu is two people in one.

Sasori and Deidara are a maybe, as we don't know if Sasori's puppet body gave him immunity to mind attacks.
