Hey guys...I'm looking to buy a solid state drive for my laptop. I'm torn between the Samsung 840 evo and the Crucial M500. The capacity I am planning on getting is 500GB~1TB. Any thoughts or other SSD's? Thanks.

I would buy the 250GB model and just keep high end games on it. Otherwise you're wasting your money.
The read and write speed are great. and it will last awhile. if you are only storing movies and tv shows its not worth spending that much money on a SSD. Get a 1TB HDD and save the money, it can still be SATA III and for $150ish you may be able to get a 2 to 4 GB HDD and still get good performance.
SSD's are great for gaming and running high intensity applications on them.
