Choose what's best for you. If you want a costly device that is limited where it comes to customization and software features that can take good photos, browse the internet and run some nice apps (you're a simple person), then go for the iPhone 5s or wait for the iPhone 6. If you want a fully customize-able phone, worthy price and a great OS (yo want the most out of your device, and will not settle for 'alright' or 'less') then team android is for you. I'm pushing you towards android here, and I'm a past iOS user now sticking with android. With android your phone is yours, unlike apple devices. You can get anything you want for your phone from several sites on the web, you can even download paid apps for free just by searching for the apk file on google (support developers if you can though). HTC and Samsung are big android names, but if you want the best android phone out there, you're looking at the OnePlus One (google it if you haven't heard about it), that phone has specs rivaling flagship android phones for half the price. In the end, the decision is yours, use google and youtube to decide what you want, maybe you're an iOs person, or maybe android is for you.

Pretty sure an invite is still required for OnePlus One.

Having been in both camps, I can safely say that I prefer Apple's overall ecosystem and vision with phones. I can see both sides have their pros and cons, though.

Yes, getting an iPhone is not the end of the world as some would have you believe, but be prepared for different experiences Lol

I guess iPhones are aimining to the people who only surf the web, read the news, watch videos on youtube and play games.

iPhone is more friendly i believe.

Android is just way too much for me, after you root it, you can mess with a lot of stuff like over clocking and stuff.

Based on my experience, I've felt iOS devices are simply easier to use out of the box and are more user friendly. Yeah, of course you can't customize it like you can an Android device, but the former seems more stable than the latter. There are some conveniences each have that I miss in the other.

I'm not as big of a power user as the heaviest users are. My phone is my phone, for situations where I don't have a device that's better at doing a specific task my phone can.

Maybe it's just that I feel Apple's execution of how they approached software and hardware design of phones appealed to me more. Or maybe I'm just spouting PR jargon and I've finally been fully indoctrinated by the cult of Apple. I don't know XD

OT: It's what you want or need in a phone, OP. No point in owning a Ferrari if you're going to use it like a Toyota, or vice versa.

You should go for Androis, i have the galaxy S5 and it's awesome, if you're going to be a multitasking user and use your phone a lot, i recommend an android because you have removable battery, you buy an extra pack of battery, when one battery dies, you put the other battery and you're good to go!

You should go for either Galaxy S5 or Galaxy Note 4.

If i were you, i would wait until they fully release and then watch some reviews in youtube and ask for more details of people who had bought the phones already, my opinion.

Got the HTC One M8! I've only been using it for a few hours, but the Android feel is soo familiar that it's as if I've been using this phone for months already! Love the speakers, resolution, power, and build quality. Really could not have asked for more. Thanks for all the input guys!
