Part 1 Sasuke thought he could kill Itachi with Chidori. Sasuke went to Orochimaru for power even knowing that Orochimaru wants his body

Part 2 Sasuke joined the Akatuki and tried to capture Killer Bee. Sasuke invaded the Five Kage Summit and overused his Mangekyou Sharingan so he almost went blind.

Part 2....in terms of recklessness it could go either way, so I went ahead and went with fighting.
Sasuke was always smart so in terms of power he went the right way.

Kakashi would have killed Sasuke vs Itachi if he had trained him, he wouldn't have gained MS, or anything. Sasuke would be a fodder.
He made the right choices, Indra, or destiny I guess.
