The Rinnegan...which one is the (overpowered as hell) Six Paths Jutsu most useful in battle?

The Deva Path (天道, Tendō), which allows one to manipulate both attractive and repulsive forces.
The Asura Path (修羅道, Shuradō), which grants the user mechanised limbs weaponry and armour.
The Human Path (人間道, Ningendō), which gives the ability to remove a soul and so read a person's mind.
The Animal Path (畜生道, Chikushōdō), which lets the user summon a wide variety of creatures.
The Preta Path (餓鬼道, Gakidō), which can absorb all forms of chakra including most Ninjutsu.
The Naraka Path (地獄道, Jigokudō), through which one can summon and control the King of Hell.
The Outer Path (外道, Gedō), which rules over both life and death.

^^^ Damn...it's pretty hard to choose but I'll say it's a toss up between Nakara Preta and Deva

As dope as almighty push or universal pull is, it has a limit for how quickly It can be used.

Therefore

I'll go with being able to absorb all ninjutsu.

Deva is clearly number one. You didn't see Nagao restricted from using Nakara or Preta in his fight with SM Naruto, now did we?

Every other path can be argued for or against in ranking, but Deva is the clear #1.

Deva Path obviously, hence why Pain's strategic formation utilized against Naruto involved preserving Deva Path.

Preta Path is nice, but fighters can quickly adapt and instigate strategies involving taijutsu which was explicitly Preta Path's weakness. Any proficient fighter in CQC would overwhelm Preta Path unless he's accompanied by other Paths.

good points...but wasn't nagato only preserving deva path because of it's plot-restricting cooldown?

Who cares.

Reviving needs prep time and or that's a ***** move in battle. Which wouldn't happen... 6 kunai to the eyes.
good points...but even nagato thought it was the most important path in the battle...nakara path was dead last in formation remember?

also it was because of nakara path that kabuto was able to have the option of making his life WAYYYY easier by simply killing naruto and killer b and and then reviving them later to steal the tailed beasts from obito

This is why I said every path other than Deva could be argued among the 2nd through 6th spots. Each has a strength and weakness who's usefulness highly depends on the situation and strategy. Obviously Nakara was in back because Nagato wanted to protect him. But remember, Nakara's vision from behind Deva was able to provide an extra layer of protection for Deva. In that respect, Deva was in the most safe position among the 6.

Again, Deva is the only path with such strength that it leaves all other pains in the dust. The 5 second CD is peanuts against 99% of opponents in a no-info situation.

The 5-second cool-down is an arbitrary point to consider as the cooldown when battling someone of Pain's caliber was noted to be minuscule and practically insignificant according to Choji, multiple Anbu, and even SM Naruto. This was illustrated even when surrounded by hundreds of Naruto's clones.
