no, he beat him, madara and tobi admitted as much themselves. he just didn't kill him, but he won the fight. and madara took his dna, as did tobi, which says a lot. and that madara went to fight only to get the dna is bs. if he was that strong, he would have killed hashirama and taken as much as he wanted, plus konoha to boot.

They are both equal. The Madara vs Hashirama fight was unseen and I am sure something else happened in that fight that we havn't been told yet.
I think I would rather have the body only because of the side affects of MS. And that you have to take your siblings eyes if you wan't your eyesight back. And that you apparently need to kill/suffer the loss of a fried to gain the MS.

well, it seems the younger son survived the tailed beasts and infinite izanagi, so you reach your own conclusions. i'd guess he is like naruto is now, swatting away bijuu bombs like flies.
