It is called Swastika ( literally translated from Sanskrit - to be good). The symbol has been used by various ancient civilizations , and it is still used in Indian religions, specifically in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It also has along history in Europe, reaching to antiquity.

German Nazi Party took this symbol and misused it as a symbol for Aryan race. When Hitler rose to power, the rotated and right facing Swastika was made the state flag during Nazism.

Nazis were very interested in mysticism and used various occult symbols including runes.

I wonder why would Kishimoto draw a fake one ...
Of course the one from the Manga is real, the anime censored it because it looked like the Nazi cross or whatever it's called

For god's sake, it's a buddhist symbol, it's not a swastika. Swastikas look different.
There are many buddhist symbols, if you don't know what buddhism is then I don't know what rock you live under.

if youre talking with respect to the manga, then the manga one is real. If you are talking with respect to anime then the animated one. The animators decided to change it because it resembles the Nazi logo although it also resembles some Buddhist sign. You see.... Nazi and Hitler is a very delicate topic even now

The first one (swastika) is the real one from the manga. In Buddhist and other asian traditions that symbol has important meanings. However, there are strong negative connotations with that symbol in the western world (flipped around to face the other direction, it's the symbol of nazism, etc). So for the manga it was changed to an X.
