Yeah we're going in circles because it's a straightforward scene that you're trying to twist unnecessarily. You keep trying to give Kakashi or the teacher the credit because you don't want Rin to have it. Kakashi never said you're welcome lol It's not a hard scene to understand.


It's a panel of the ninja academy entrance exams. The teams find out who they will be on AFTERWARD. My point is not everyone is instantly a friend on a team so thus it must take a nice person to get along with others. And with Rin's case she's super nice with others. So your logic is that she was nice to Obito and Kakashi because she was on their team. So I asked why isn't Hinata being super nice to her teammates? Actually my first line was about Sasuke and Naruto. They didn't get along very well.


It's not a quick bandage job because Rin has taken care of him multiple times. She's always watching over him and making sure he's okay. The fact that she noticed his injury and NO ONE else did or cared about it it shows a lot. It meant a great deal to Obito, that someone would care about him that way.


Kakashi dying was a possibility but it wasn't necessary to show that their team had been touched by Rin. Kakashi even thanked her for her presence. It can be both. A cliffhanger and a symbol of what Rin has done for the team. I wasn't in the fandom at that time so I didn't have that time to wonder who would die. I was able to see more of that friendship that the three had instead. Do you hear yourself downplay these moments? Let me try your logic. Ex: Hinata noticing Shino....OMG SHE'S AN ANGEL. U_U

If my friend did those things for me, which she does, I'd think she was really amazing. You wouldn't? She treats everyone like a friend. She's always really friendly. She is someone you'd be grateful to have in your life.

There is something called freewill. She watched Naruto suffer and didn't do anything about it....And really that excuse died after the first few chapters of Naruto. Everyone else talked to Naruto. They judged him because they thought he was annoying not because of the demon fox issue. Sakura for example never mentioned the demon fox issue. She just thought Naruto was annoying. Same with Sasuke. Hinata could have been his friend any time here.


No I mean Hinata would have to act nice to avoid the consequences of not being nice. As in she's afraid of what would happen if she wasn't well liked. It's easier to be complacent then put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. The genin days are when this was more obvious. She gets stronger later on as she gets older so she is more able to do things like leave Naruto to go off with Toneri. But again I have yet to see her do something like that for her other friends. Her feats revolve around Naruto and her family.

So I'd say if you look at the order of what he does...He sees Obito first, he glances at Rin knowing she has his papers and then sighs because nothing changes with Obito. Obito is always late. Then Kakashi gives a judging look at Obito and glances back to see Obito's reaction when Rin gives him the papers. So even looking at body language it's clear that a thank you was nowhere in there. What's more logical is the fact that Kakashi was not the type of person who would do such a thing for Obito.

This is what I'm referring to. I talked about how Rin was watching Obito and you implied that it's only something a team member would do. Everything I've been talking about here has been to prove that being on a team does not create instant friendship. You need to work to get to that point of trust and teamwork. Being super nice makes it easy though. Rin watched over him even before they were on a team. Teams are decided by the adults but the kids don't find out until later.

It had less to to do with medical ninja duty and more to do with making sure Obito knew how seriously Rin believed in his dream. She told him that she'd watch over him and in return Obito was expected to fulfill his promise of becoming Hokage. She even told him that saving him would be like saving the world. So this caring act actually shows three things. 1. How Rin has watched over Obito. 2. Rin taking care of Obito's wounds and 3. Rin supporting Obito's dreams.

Fillers are just made up stories. It gave Hinata's team moments they didn't have. You ask me to look it up because you can't think of any good memorable moments yourself. Nothing that is worthy of the standards you're placing on nice acts anyway. Hinata's main concern is Naruto. So much so that when I do think of a moment that Hinata has done something special for her friends you'll notice that it comes after she helps Naruto first. In the Chunin Exams Hinata has a famous scene where she offers Naruto medicine. The funny thing is that Kiba had just gotten done fighting and was in serious need of help. Naruto had won and needed the medicine the least but what you'll see is that Hinata chooses to give medicine to Naruto first, before Kiba. I think this panel shows all.

If you read what I said, I said that this excuse for not talking to Naruto disappeared after the first few chapters of Naruto. So I am aware that the manga starts with the demon fox issue. However the only people who really care about this is the parents, the adults of Konoha. When you actually look to see why Konoha 11 won't talk to Naruto you'll see their reasons are that Naruto is annoying or that his childhood is messed up. They never actually mention the demon fox. Actually in the current filler the kids use the demon fox issue as a reason for disliking Naruto way more than they ever did in the manga. In the filler you actually feel like they are singling Naruto out for no good reason. While in the manga it just seems like they're annoyed by Naruto in general. The adults keep away from Naruto because of the demon fox and encourage their kids to stay away but Hinata had no reason not to talk to him at school. She even did a couple times at the Chuunin Exams and never seemed worried about her parents finding out she was talking to him...Sorry I should have been more clear on this point but Everyone talked to him was referring to the fact that everyone talked to him at some point. As in talking to him wasn't forbidden. No one wanted to and it was greatly discouraged, but it's not impossible to talk to him. In fact as the series goes on talking to Naruto has become a non issue. They can do so with ease, without fearing about what the adults think. Konoha 11 started talking to him as their respect for him increased. So if Hinata really wanted to form a bond with Naruto she could have. Here are a couple examples of Konoha 11's feelings toward Naruto. Notice how many of these moments revolve around Naruto's personality, actions and/or childhood.

Rin killed herself with Kakashi's chidori. I'm certain that wasn't the popular choice either. In fact Kakashi spent most of his life in torment over what he did to Rin. However Rin was able to do these things as a young girl. There's no telling what kinds of things she would do as an adult. Hinata was an adult in The Last. She was exposed to more situations by default. Comparing what a young Rin could do vs an adult Hinata seems kind of pathetic when you think about it....Rin, although nice, is also assertive. She is able to be herself without letting people walk over her.

While Hinata's personality has that weakness that lets her get walked over and pushed into doing things she wouldn't normally do. This is an example of what I mean. When Kiba suggested they should go watch Gaara's team, Hinata wanted to refuse but she wasn't able to.This wasn't how Hinata wanted to act but she got pushed into doing this because she couldn't stand up for herself. So although some moments are more genuine than others I believe that a lot of Hinata's gentle personality is actually just her wanting to avoid trouble. At the end of the day Rin has that needed strength to do good without being pressured into doing them.

Not falling out with them is the least you'd expect. Every other team except Hinata's team still keep in contact and have a close bond with each other. Hinata has never been shown to be insecure because of Sakura so yes some type of sign is needed to make that leap. Especially since Sakura even told Hinata in the beginning of the movie to do her best with giving Naruto the scarf. I mentioned the fan because if Hinata had a thought like that she would have reacted differently toward Sakura...like the way she was shown to feel towards Naruto's fans. There was no insecurity on her part, just confusion on why Sakura was helping her so much.

Okay I think this is a good place to stop so I'll just lay out my final thoughts once more. I still very much consider Rin to be the nicest. She wasn't in the manga very long but all of her scenes revolved around her being friendly and doing nice things. Most importantly her nice moments did not revolve around a boy she was in love with. In fact she has actually been shown to have more moments with Obito then Kakashi. To me that shows that she greatly values friendship and isn't just nice to someone because she wants to be with them. She supports them with all of her heart and does things that go beyond what a normal friend would do. Even after everything Obito had done she still forgave him and accepted him with open arms. She didn't judge what Obito went through but instead validated what he had been feeling.

Rin killed herself with Kakashi's chidori. I'm certain that wasn't the popular choice either. In fact Kakashi spent most of his life in torment over what he did to Rin. However Rin was able to do these things as a young girl. There's no telling what kinds of things she would do as an adult. Hinata was an adult in The Last. She was exposed to more situations by default. Comparing what a young Rin could do vs an adult Hinata seems kind of pathetic when you think about it....Rin, although nice, is also assertive. She is able to be herself without letting people walk over her.

While Hinata's personality has that weakness that lets her get walked over and pushed into doing things she wouldn't normally do. This is an example of what I mean. When Kiba suggested they should go watch Gaara's team, Hinata wanted to refuse but she wasn't able to.This wasn't how Hinata wanted to act but she got pushed into doing this because she couldn't stand up for herself. So although some moments are more genuine than others I believe that a lot of Hinata's gentle personality is actually just her wanting to avoid trouble. At the end of the day Rin has that needed strength to do good without being pressured into doing them.

It's long because of the parts. It's like answering several conversations at once. And each convo revolves around a point that needs to be developed properly so it takes longer to answer.


Not falling out with them is the least you'd expect. Every other team except Hinata's team still keep in contact and have a close bond with each other. Hinata has never been shown to be insecure because of Sakura so yes some type of sign is needed to make that leap. Especially since Sakura even told Hinata in the beginning of the movie to do her best with giving Naruto the scarf. I mentioned the fan because if Hinata had a thought like that she would have reacted differently toward Sakura...like the way she was shown to feel towards Naruto's fans. There was no insecurity on her part, just confusion on why Sakura was helping her so much.

Okay I think this is a good place to stop so I'll just lay out my final thoughts once more. I still very much consider Rin to be the nicest. She wasn't in the manga very long but all of her scenes revolved around her being friendly and doing nice things. Most importantly her nice moments did not revolve around a boy she was in love with. In fact she has actually been shown to have more moments with Obito then Kakashi. To me that shows that she greatly values friendship and isn't just nice to someone because she wants to be with them. She supports them with all of her heart and does things that go beyond what a normal friend would do. Even after everything Obito had done she still forgave him and accepted him with open arms. She didn't judge what Obito went through but instead validated what he had been feeling.

Kakashi lived by the rules and it's also a safe assumption that he knew that Obito would be in his team due to how they build the teams. Like how Naruto was bottom of his class, Sakura was at the middle and Sasuke was at the top so they were put into a team to balance it all out. Add the fact that obito was going to get the forms anyway, may as well be more time efficient, for once. Also Obito doesn't know what went on either or who did/suggested what to that point as he was frantic and late as usual.

I already showed how the kids may know in advance via tradition or speculation over test results. These friendships are formed before the teams. You either like a person and become immediate friends and help each other that way or dislike each other and help each other to get one over on the other. That's what we have been shown every single gen. Being nice isn't necessary and they're putting each others lives in each others hands regardless. Trust is built that way if it's necessary.

Alright to further prove my point. Obito is the fodder compared to Kakashi, right? So who would the medic be watching throughout/after a fight? it's her duty as a friend and comrade to heal her team. Doing this repeatedly doesn't not make it a quick bandage job. What sort of medic/friend doesn't heal Obito but tells him to stop being a skrub? It's not Kakashi or Minatos place.

Plenty of reasons for Kakashi to thank Rin. no.1 being that she has to put up with him after his emotionally unstable episodes XD the next is that she doesn't hold a grudge against either boys after all the shit they've been through which is expected of an open minded person who's been watching them constantly btw.
