So which one is more dangerous, 6 paths of pain or Nagato himself?

Personally, the 6 paths of pain. :eww: I'd be depressed as hell If i was fighting them. Soo yea.

I would say the 6 paths are stronger. It is a huge tactical advantage to be able to see from 6 different angles. Not to mention you spread out your resources. Thus, a single devastating blow to one path would not end the battle.

I believe the six paths because you can release one after the other without knowing what the abilities of each on are. Even though he does have the rinnegan and all the powers of pain, Nagato is still just one guy. He doesn't have the blind spot coverage that pain has nor does he have the ability to revive himself (like the pain that can revive fallen pains). Nagato is susceptible to genjutsu as well. The saying, "two heads are better than one" really applies here with Nagato being one head and pain being six.

Lol same here man, it'd be much easier to take on Nagato rather then the pains.

Nagato is more dangerous, but the Six Pains seem scarier.

Pains can do anything Nagato can ;x.

But Nagato can do it more efficiently and if he was using his Paths he can't use any of Deva Path's wide range attacks immediately since he needs the other paths to be out of the way.Bansho Tenin+Ningendo Combo also takes more prep time with the paths if they are far way and could be stopped if Ningendo is destroyed.

Deva Path is also defenseless after using his gravitational powers while Nagato can still buy time with his other abilities. As for the linked vision, Nagato is a sensor.

Nagato being all paths in one, eliminates the weaknesses of each; deeming him superior.

A healthy (not immobile) Nagato > 6 Paths of Pain.

When Nagato was resurrected, it was Kabuto controlling his every move. I'm sure he would have been able to do better if he was fighting with his own tactics and such.

They are both monsters, but would Itachi have been able to get the jump on all six + like 10 summons?

Nagato is more dangerous.. he'll be more powerful if his power isn't split into six bodies

Nagato himself will get tired out. He will be much easier for a person to take on. Some one like Sage mode Jiraiya can take on Nagato and win.

Nagato is a sensor, but that doesn't mean he has fast reflexes. And also your saying shared vision < Sensory? noo. The paths also have sensory and shared vision. On top of that the advantage in numbers. Nagato will be a easy target that is my point.

Nagato was easily exhausted when he was alive against Hanzo , just from the shinra tensei.

Using a Edo example where someone else was controlling him does not give proof to what he himself can do with his own power. Its like using Edo Itachi for Itachi.

6 paths have a weakness? o-o Never knew.

Actually, his sensory skills were such that he could identify which jutsu Itachi was going to use before he cast them.

This certainly does give Nagato an advantage.

@KingHashirama So without Kabuto's control, he would be a drooling Idiot? The same guy who formulated the 6 paths strategy in the first place to win battles?

I'd rather fight Nagato. Shared vision, multiple bodies and having to worry about a seventh body is too much man, too much.
