I would go with TSM because you won't have major drawbacks that the 8 Inner Gates has and with TSM you have unlimited chakra as it can always be replenished compared to the 8 Gates where you lose a lot of chakra after one attack.

You survive with sage mode lol. From a statistical standpoint you can win more incidents you want to influence vs 1 with 8 gates. 7 gates we can all agree is nowhere near sage mode. Its when you get to the 8th gate where you can truly make a difference. Sage mode you can make a difference without dying.
