Shikamaru doesn't really have "potential" in the way of a typical shinobi. He relies on brains. Neji is dead do whatever. Tenten has nothing beyond weapons. Everyone else is limited to the styles of their clan. They're only as strong ad their clan. Sakura has potential but I think Lee could beat her once he reaches full potential. Just think of it as Gai fighting Tsunade. So yea.

Exactly! What else could Shikamaru do with shadows? His arsenal is pretty limited. Same goes for Ino.

Rock Lee on the other hand still has the 6th, 7th, and 8th Gates to unlock, as well as Morning Peacock, Hirudora, and kishi knows what else. He without a doubt has the most potential out of the group.

He can even be better i might add the drunken fist mastery

He defeated a Path of pain, so he's >Kakashi.
he's a direct decendant of the SARUTOBI clan, just like the 3rd hokage ( he beat 2 edo hokages asses AND a sannin )
He was also *trained* by naruto, who is evidently one of the greats.

I approve of this statement. Prime Konohamaru > everyone. You can't even refute that because I'm referring to his prime! It's just as legit as someone citing Prime Hiruzen
