Yeah that's for sure, bird boy really has attitude problem, and Guy never goof's around in a fight, so yes he can kill him before that,But still it can go either way.

I was talking on the Given scenario, normally when Deidara goes to fight someone, he start's attacking from the air so he will win, but the post i was replying had given me a scenario and if that happens then guy will kill him before he can get serious.

Guy in 8th gate could probably beat Nagato, and Itachi, however, if Tobi can stay intangible for as longer than gai lasts in the 8th gate, then Tobi could win.

Kisame has nothing to beat Gai with.

His water dome would be useless as the 7th gate repels water, and given the 7th gate is not chakra, it would do Kisame no good.

Gai beats Kisame 10/10 times, unless he decided for whatever reason to not use gates.

Gai is his worst matchup.

With gate 7 he has the chance to beat a lot of the top brass of Akatsuki including Itachi - it takes those with 'special' counters like Tobi, Nagato or Konan (paper 'intangibility') to take him.

With the 8th gate, in theory there should be none who stand in his way, although that is more from hype*. But we need to see its power.

*It is meant to be stronger than the 7th gate which says a lot.

it depens on how he usesit i mean in that fight agianst kisame he used some sort of taijutsu bomb
imo that would own konan
and for hidan all he'd have to do is keep moving and disrupt hidan circle if he got some blood
