Which Kage guard pair was the best suited for their job?

I mean, not only in terms of pure strength, but in how balanced they were and how well they could, well, guard.

IMO Darui and Cee were the best: Darui is a powerhouse and has at least one defensive jutsu (that water wall), while Cee is a perfect support ninja with both medical and sensory abilities.

Darui and Cee or Fuu and Torune. Darui is a beast and Cee is not bad. Fuu and Torune both have good formations tactics and teamwork.

Fuu and Torune, obedience was beat into them as children and they were the 2 best members in root, their teamwork was flawless and unrivaled simply because they have always been under the direct control of Danzo. Also for their separate skills, Fu was a sensor and tactician while Torune was a elite Aburame with rare hidden ninjutsu.

Beating obedience isn't necessary when you're the one picked for the job. It automatically means you're obedient.

And Cee was a better sensor while Darui had better evaluation, and Darui held Black Lightning skills, and last time I checked, lightning>bugs.

Yes maybe - they were (supposedly) good ninja but it doesn't mean they were suited to be bodyguards. Fu has no attack or defense feats while Torune is only dangerous if you don't see him coming - and at close range. Also, their teamwork was nothing special.

None other team came close to the same versatility.
