That's the reason why Naruto developed FRS. Although kishi did not introduce kirin directly at the beginning of shippuden, he saved for the Itachi vs Sasuke fight just like Naruto saved his FRS for the Kakuzu fight.

There's a reason why both jutsu are S rank and derived by their signature moves.

You know that Naruto is in sage mode right? And that Sasuke isn't using curse mark with his kirin right? Yet Kirin would still be more destructive.

Lightning (besides fire... which lightning basically is anyways) is the most destructive element.

And because he was aiming and directly hit Itachi's susanoo and the fact that it was on top of the mountain the radius decreased.

An attack's blast radius is irrelevant because the nature of Kirin is a lightning bolt, so it's a significantly more condensed attack which denotes greater damage potential.

The Kurama example is an interesting one, but when did Kurama ever withstand an attack that can decimate multiple mountains at once?

Really they should be about equal but usage would determine which you would use. Also what's with limiting the FRS? The whole purpose of that jutsu is to hit the opponent then expand causing greater damage to one or more targets unexpectedly.
